This week we had an extra day off from work because of the Dragon Boat festival. Yesterday, my buddy and I headed out on the bullet train for a daytrip to the port city of Ningbo. Compared to Shanghai, the city's 5.4 million population seemed quaint. We visited Moon Lake's beautiful lakes and temples, as well as the city zoo. Then we did some wandering around in the tourist markets. For dinner, we eat fresh seafood, which was amazing.
The photo of the man fishing from the bridge is iconic. And it makes the one with the cooked fish all the more sensual and desirable! I travelled through there in 1985 with a group of Shanghai Conservatory luxuesheng. We went to Xihu in Hangzhou. It was so long ago my memories are fuzzy and unlike you I did not take pictures. But your photographs awaken feelings and senses from the time I was there. Thank you. Uncle Terry
